Budapest Tunderi
“Tunderi” means “nights” in Kazakh: Budapest nights. The name is also a small nod to Almatynyn Tunderi-ai, the well-known Kazakh song that captures that special feeling of a city after dark. In Hungarian, tündéri also means fairy-like or charming.
Budapest Tunderi started with a simple idea: bring a little bit of Almaty's nightlife energy to Budapest and create a place where Central Asians living far from home could find each other.
What began as a small circle of students has slowly grown into something bigger. A community of familiar faces, new friendships, shared music, conversations, dancing, and nights you actually remember.
For us, comfort is not about how expensive or exclusive a place is. It is that feeling when you walk in and already feel like you belong. When you recognize people, meet someone new, hear a song that reminds you of home, and suddenly Budapest feels a little more familiar.
That is Budapest Tunderi: our nights, our people, and a little piece of home in Budapest.
